Why I Left LuLaRoe
There are many reasons why I left LuLaRoe. But first, I want to say that if you are looking for a LuLaRoe bashing post you will not find it here. When we were looking for something to make our family some extra money to pay off debt, I found LuLaRoe. I went into selling with LuLaRoe as my first experience with a Direct Sales company. I learned so much about being a business owner and social media marketing by starting with LuLaRoe. As an independent boutique owner, I owned my own business, which is something that I had not ever done before, and sold LuLaRoe clothing from that boutique in my home.
I was with LuLaRoe for almost a year, but toward the end, I, myself, was not in love with the brand anymore. I was not looking forward to wearing it on a daily basis. As a business owner, I did not like not being able to select what prints I was purchasing for my customers. LuLaRoe basically only gave us two ways to sell, in a closed facebook group or doing in-home parties. Some of the business practices that were beginning to surface we making me worried. LuLaRoe took up a lot of my time as well. It was time for a change. Enter, Agnes and Dora…
Agnes and Dora
I really wasn’t searching for a new brand to carry in our boutique, but kind of stumbled upon Agnes and Dora. The styles, versatility, and quality were what I initially fell in love with. I did some research and found that this was something that I could really do on a part time basis and still be able to spend time with my family. The other thing that I really liked was that I was able to order the style, size, AND PRINT that I wanted to carry in the boutique. Oh, and they give us a website to sell from!
Agnes & Dora also being very smart about how fast they are growing. There are currently only 3,500ish reps but they’ve been around as long as LuLaRoe. They are being very intentional about they way they are building so that they will be around for the long haul. I love being able to help women feel beautiful and Agnes & Dora’s mission is to do the same. So far, I have really like the change in suppliers and so do my customers!
